It was a big day for upstate New York manufacturing!

On Monday, August 18, UST welcomed U.S. Representative Paul D. Tonko and New York State Senator Neil D. Breslin to a celebration marking the milestone shipment of our 1,000th unit. Tonko and Breslin congratulated UST on reaching this milestone. “I look forward to many more years of success and contributions to the Capital Region economy,” Tonko said. “Small businesses like this are the lifeblood of our region, providing good-paying jobs, and a great source of pride for our communities.” (See press release.)

UST’s 1,000th unit, a SureVolt™, is headed to an AMTRAK facility in New York City, where it will reduce stress on the rail carrier’s UPS power-backup system. It will also reduce costs by extending battery life.
