Albany, NY- Utility Systems Technologies, Inc. (UST), a local manufacturer of power quality equipment was recognized today for its success in the international marketplace. The company was presented with an Export Achievement Award from Congressman Paul Tonko and U.S. Department of Commerce officials. The award recognizes small and medium-sized businesses for their exceptional export achievement. UST is currently exporting units for sale in several foreign countries, for use by both private industry and governmental entities. The company presently has product installed and operating in 27 countries.

“The Export Achievement Certificate (EAC) was created in 2001 to recognize small and medium-sized enterprises that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or that have successfully entered a new market,” said Cathy Gibbons, Sr. International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service. “The award is designed to showcase the important role that exporting plays in our national economy, to highlight the contributions made by exporters and trade partners to their local communities and to recognize new exporters.”
