(UST), which was honored last year by the United States Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service division for its success in the international marketplace, announced today it has secured contracts in support of U.S. State Department facilities to build six of its SureVolt Electronic Voltage Regulators primarily for embassy locations in Africa. “Poor power quality is a real concern in many foreign countries because it can occur anytime or anywhere,disrupting critical operations,” said Dr. Robert Degeneff, President & CEO of UST. “Our power quality products are recognized now in over 30 countries as a solution that can be counted on to help maintain reliable power quality for essential operations. We are extremely pleased to be providing more of these units for the State Department.”

The SureVolt units for the State Department will be manufactured at the company’s Watervliet facility, and they are scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2013. UST has been manufacturing electronic voltage regulators since 2000, and the company currently manufacturers approximately 120 units per year.
